Last November Luke relined our 30 year old, overgrown, silted up pond. He managed to save as much wildlife as possible and some plants, and replaced all the edging stones. Early spring we were worried that it appeared to be barren. However we bought a few new plants and some snails and now it is teeming with life, including tadpoles, froglets and frogs. Would highly recommend Elevate Ponds.
Our 15 year old garden stream feature was leaking badly and needed attention. We approached Luke to visit to assess what was needed and he invited us to visit his show area in North Leeds - we were very impressed. After investigation it was agreed that the old pond was beyond an easy solution, so we decided to go for a complete replacement. The old pond has become a wildlife haven and we were keen to ensure that this would be preserved. Luke was completely in sympathy with this and adjusted hi suggestions to accommodate it. He and his colleague worked extremely hard during about a week and a half in December to ensure that the work was done at a time when the wildlife was dormant. They were diligent, hard working and a pleasure to have around. We are delighted with the outcome and look forward to the better weather when we can enjoy the refreshed stream and waterfalls - and hopefully look forward to the return of our frog population. The birds are already taking advantage.
We love our pond, but we know very little on how to maintain it and keep it crystal clear. So we were delighted when we discovered ‘Elevate Ponds’ and met the owner, Luke Burgess. Luke at Elevate Ponds and Water Features designed and built a pond and waterfall feature for me in memory of my late husband. All through the process, Luke listened carefully to my requirements and incorporated elements that were very personal to me and also made many suggestions of his own. I was delighted with the end result which has brought me much pleasure and provided me with a peaceful and very personal haven in a corner of my garden.
Luke completely emptied my pond, cleaned it and refilled it adding a bacteria pack to kick start the new environment. Always very impressed with the service and quality of the work Luke and his team at Elevate Ponds provide. They redesigned and rebuilt our existing pond a few years ago and service it once a year for us - it has never been so good! We would highly recommend them both for pond design and servicing.
Luke and his team replaced our broken pond pump and also added a filter. The pump was difficult to get to but they had two large pools to drain the pond water into. They also thinned out some of the vegetation and now the pond is crystal clear and back to what it was like when we first had it commissioned. Luke left the site very tidy. When I was about to embark on completely changing the look of half of my garden, I was hesitant. I don't know why, it is brilliant. Sitting out of an evening with a glass of wine listening to the water running down over the rocks - magical. Fortunately Luke came up with suggestions that worked a treat and he was super quick, efficient and tidy. A nice bloke as well! Six months on and it is still the first thing I look for when I open my curtains of a morning.
Luke rebuilt my pond a few years ago and I love it. Since then the wildlife has flourished around it. And every year he returns to check the pump and filter and tidy it up. Highly recommend.

Sue and I live in Ilkley and we had a garden pond with a waterfall using recirculated pond water from an immersed pump.
The pond was installed about 20 years ago and was not looking its best and was also leaking. We had used another so called “specialist” who had done a terrible job at renovating it.
Having sent in an enquiry to “Elevate Ponds” via an email using their excellent website, proprietor Luke called us very promptly and an on-site appointment was quickly arranged. He talked us through the options and we decided to go the whole hog and have it completely renovated. Luke talked us through his “Eco” pond philosophy which was exactly the way we were thinking as well and we agreed with him that we wanted as “natural” look as possible to fit in with our garden.
Luke and his dedicated team arrived on time and it was obvious they all have a passion for what they do.
The work took about 2 weeks to complete and the results are truly stunning.
We cannot recommend them highly enough.

What a delight to see the waterfall go from a massive hole in the ground (thank you Tom) to the beautiful thing that it has become.
We can see it from every room at the back of the house and the novelty of hearing the water every time we go out or open a window will take a long time to go, if it ever does.

When my husband died, I decided I would like to restore a neglected part of our garden , including an old pond, to create a peaceful corner in his memory. I called Luke who came and gave me some brilliant suggestions and made my vision a reality. He and Sean did a brilliant job building the pond and waterfall with minimum disturbance. It has a real wow factor and my family and friends think it’s amazing.

Having moved into our new home, everything was great apart from a very sad looking pond that was completely clogged up from years of neglect, with some equally sad looking goldfish mooching about between the debris. I phoned Luke to come and clean it out and discuss options having seen examples on his website. Luke's knowledge and enthusiasm was exactly what we needed and after much back and forth on possible options and associated budget, Luke was very patient and supportive, we finally landed on a vision. A few weeks later the work was underway, they were clean and tidy and kept us informed throughout as the vision took shape over a couple of weeks. They emptied the original, dug it out to be deeper and larger, with Urn header pond one side and water fall cascading down the other, the finished job is a small oasis of calm and tranquillity which adds a real wow factor to our small garden...and those sad looking fish seem over joyed with their new home!
Luke was recommended to me by water-garden.co.uk as an authorised Oase installer after my old pond and equipment gave up. Luke came across to install the new kit and clean out the old pond. We then looked at what could be done to make the pond a feature of the garden. He was really helpful as came up with quite a few ideas and various budgets that could make it happen. Once we agreed on one of the options, work started later in the year. Luke and Shaun turned up on time, just cracked on with the work and were always tidy. It was also good to be kept in the loop as to what they were doing, along with next steps. Thoroughly recommend them, but book early as these guys are very busy.
Luke and Shaun were very reliable and well organised. The pond build went to plan and within timescales quoted. We were kept informed of the progress on a daily basis and involved in any changes that were required.

My wife and I had always wanted an informal running water pond in our front garden to replace the small ugly one installed years before. We contacted several persons who claimed to have the necessary skills but rejected them all as they lacked imagination, experience, and had no photographs to evidence previous work.
We were hooked when we saw Luke's impressive web site. It inspired confidence.
We had several meetings with Luke. His enthusiasm was evident as was his experience . At our request, he went to view an established pond which had caught our eye. He then helped us to decide what we wanted. He was happy to spend time with us.
He designed and built for us a wonderful pond which really enhances the look of the garden. He and his 2 assistants were very pleasant to have around. Nothing was too much trouble and they started each day early and worked long hard days, even in bad weather. No time was wasted. Luke's skills in design were evident as the pond took shape. It incorporates a waterfall and a place where my wife can dip her toes in the water. The great merit of the system he installed is that it filters and collects the leaves which means minimal maintenance on my part.
We were so delighted with the finished product that we have asked Luke to design a further water feature in the back garden.

Our pond had become a burden, it was too deep to be able to maintain and the waterfall was in the wrong position, we wanted a pond which would look natural and blend into the garden, whilst being easy to maintain, and look good all year round.
He redesigned the area, creating two feature waterfalls and shallow areas which encourages wildlife.
We were able to enjoy the pond throughout the summer, and now in the depths of winter it is still working well.

From when I first contacted Luke he was both professional and approachable; he listened to my ideas and clearly understood "the look" I was wanting - an informal Koi pond using natural looking stone. The existing pond area had become very overgrown. It has been a feature in our garden over the last 30years and a decision had to be made to either fill it in or having it revived. Ann wanted to retain the pond.
After several discussions we asked Luke to redesign the area and after he came to see the existing pond we gave him a free hand and we were not disappointed with the outcome.
He transferred the existing fish stock of 50 fish which had been breeding happily for the last 30years into tanks pending completion of the new pond. The pond had been an attraction for frogs, dragonfly’s, newts and birds and we wanted the redesign to maintain this attraction.
The outcome is spectacular and we are more than pleased and within minutes of the cascades running the birds were back bathing and drinking and the fish exploring the new varied pond layout.
Luke kept us informed at various stages throughout the construction and the final visual outcome outshone the verbal description. We will be using Luke to regularly maintain this feature.

The first job Luke did for us was to turn a large concrete hole made by our builders into a fish pond. This involved retrofitting all the pump and filter pipework and mechanisms and treating the surface of the concrete properly. We now have a beautiful fish pond, complete with plants, fountains and lights.
We were so pleased with the result that we asked Luke back to rescue a larger wildlife pond that had become very unhealthy. Luke proposed a natural filtration system consisting of a gravel bed planted with reeds and a waterfall. This not only looks fantastic and works perfectly to make the water crystal clear and healthy, but is also an eco friendly and economic solution to the problem. Luke is completely reliable, works hard and is cheerful to have around.
During his time with us he was always determined to find the answer to every issue that arose to make sure the job was done properly. All expenditure was agreed in advance so there were no surprises and we are extremely happy with both projects.
